Bakeries open early and close in the afternoon, so breakfast and lunch are their business, not dinner. Dueruem and currywurst are the local defaults for something fast and hot, and student discounts are common in Babelsberg. Card now works in most counters, though a few of the smallest are cash only. After midnight the choice narrows fast, and the station area is the last place standing.
